A Feng Shui southeast-facing house is a home whose main door faces southeast on a compass. Treat the glass that actually gets the low morning-to-midday sun. In Australia and New Zealand the hot midday pane is often a north window, which is a different article. A June morning in Melbourne is a winter morning. The rake test is the same: sit at the bright hour, name the stripe, dress that pane. If the door opens into a covered walk and the only morning sun is on another room, dress that glass. Keep the facing label on the door you unlock.
What about wealth gua and wood objects?
If you want the elemental overlay, keep it small and labeled. Wood on southeast is a map, not a spell. Keep one living pot you will water, off the walk. Green or brown as a cushion, not a painted landlord wall. A dead plant is clutter.
Wealth gua talk is the same overlay with a school story attached. A desk in the bright wedge can glare. Sit so you see who enters, and so you can read without a hand on the pane. A money plant on the sill will not pay a bill. If someone in the house is job hunting, that is their timetable and a clear table. This page will not mint income for them.
A bedroom on the southeast wall can be a gentle morning light on the bright side, or it can put one sleeper in a stripe at nap time. A sheer on that pane still applies. Facing southeast does not cancel a mattress on the glass.
Can renters fix southeast rooms without painting?
Hang tension-rod sheers on the pane that takes the rake. Pull the sofa so one arm is not cooking. Keep a lamp you own for the quieter hours. Skip masonry. Photograph the entry before you add hooks.
