A bagua is a 3x3 overlay on a floor plan. Door-based (BTB) and compass schools put the same life labels on different walls. The grid does not activate wealth, love, or a career.
When we photograph "mapped" flats, people have two printouts and a plant in both southeast stories. The door still cannot open. This page is one school, then stop.

Two schools, say which
BTB / Western. Front door is the bottom of the square. Bottom row: knowledge (left), career (middle), helpful people (right). You do not need a compass.
Compass / classical overlay. North is career, southeast is wealth, and so on, from a reading. A phone compass in a steel building lies. Compass.
Mixing them puts "wealth" on two walls. Pick one for a month. Missing a corner on an L-shape is a shape, not a broken life area you must rebuild.

The nine labels (BTB from the door)
Wealth (top left / xun). Wood in many lists. A plant you water. Not a paycheck. Wealth.
Fame (top middle / south). Fire. A lamp. Not recognition. Fire.
Love (top right / southwest). Earth. Pairs as a symbol. Not couples therapy. Earth.
Family (middle left / east). Wood. Photos if you like them. Wood.
Center. Earth. Keep it walkable. A pile here is a pile.
Children / west. Metal. A clear table. Metal.
Knowledge (bottom left). Books, a lamp. A laundry basket is not a study gua.
Career (bottom middle / kan). Water color or a clean object. The desk still needs the door. Career.
Helpful people (bottom right). Metal. A frame by the door is optional. Mentors have other causes.
How to draw BTB
- Use the door you actually enter, not a patio you never open.
- Face in. Sketch 3x3 on the whole plan (or one room if you only own one).
- Bottom row on that door wall.
- Name one square you will touch.
- Clear that square's path. Add one object if you still want it.
A studio is nine labels on three walls. Two sectors share a closet. One object.
Renters: tape on a printed plan, not on the landlord's floor. Take the tape down. Renters.
One-room overlays: some teachers map the bedroom as its own 3x3. That is a second grid. Do not run house bagua and room bagua on the same night. If you only own the bedroom, map that room from its door.
A garage, a fire escape, or a shop you never enter is not your "front door." Use the door you use. New home if you are still choosing which door will be daily.
Quick-activation lists (jade in southeast, awards in south, pairs in southwest) are shop lists. A healthy plant is a plant. An award on a south wall is storage. They do not "need more money" as a protocol.
Missing corners and stacked labels
An L-plan "missing" the love corner is a missing room, not a broken marriage. You cannot hang a plant in the air. Do the rooms you have.
A studio stacks two labels on one closet. Pick the label that matches the job you can do this week: sleep, sit, or enter. One object. Do not activate all nine in a weekend.
Bathroom in a wealth square: lid, dry floor, closed door. That is hygiene. Coins on the tank are clutter. Bathroom wealth.
If you drew BTB last month and a compass printout this week, you now have two wealth walls. Put the extra printout in a drawer for 30 days. Keep one.
Over-decorating a sector is a shop list. One object beats nine enhancers.
If the landing is blocked, stop drawing squares. Clear the swing first. Entryway.
A phone compass in a steel building is a bad reason to switch schools mid-week. If you already picked BTB, stay on BTB until the door opens.
What to skip
Do not promise life transformation. Do not paste an App Store URL in the body. Do not run door-map and compass in the same week. Do not "activate" all nine in a weekend.
If the landing is blocked, the map can wait. Entryway.
How to judge a change
You can point at a square and say BTB or compass. The door opens. You added at most one object.

Sources and limits
BTB door alignment follows Black Hat / Western classroom notes. Compass bagua follows another line. They conflict. Empirical research on Feng Shui as a whole is limited and mixed.
