Before the truck
Sweep. Wipe. Open windows if the weather allows. That is air, not an imprint leaving the plaster.
Salt in corners, sage, palo santo, a bell: culture you may like. Tell roommates first. Smoke in a no-burn building is a lease fight. We will not claim the last tenant's arguments live in the paint.
Do not stand in the center and announce a life vision at a stranger's walls if that feels odd. You can skip it.

- Door. Full swing. Mat. A working bulb. Front door if you have a color choice. Entryway.
- Bed. Command if the room allows. Bedroom. Sleep.
- Stove and sink path. You will cook before you style the wealth corner. Kitchen.
- Sofa or table. Door in view. Furniture.
- Desk if you work here. Cover at night in a studio. Small apartment.

First-day lists, stripped
Rice and salt: food and a mineral. A new broom: you will sweep. Fruit you will eat: fruit. Boil water: tea. Lights on: you can see. Music: taste. Faucets: check for leaks, then off. Do not run them as a wealth ritual.
No argument on day one is manners when you are tired. It is not a template for the lease.
Lucky hours and zodiac clash: optional almanac. Mercury is astrology. Park when you have the elevator.
What not to pack
Broken chairs. A mattress you already hated. Dead plants. Boxes you have not opened in a year. Keep the mug you like. Leave the wobbly stool. Energy-of-the-ex is your call, not a rule we will enforce.
An old sofa that still works is a sofa. You do not owe the rooms a new set.
First week
Do not rush a wealth corner fountain. The landing and the bed matter more. A plant in the southeast, if that is your map, after the path is clear.
Shared walls: your door and your night volume. Plants are not a neighbor shield.
If the previous tenant left nails and a smell, clean and patch what you may. That is the "clearing."
A house with a yard: walk the path to the door before you hang a bagua. Form School outside is the same swing test. An apartment: you own the mat and the bulb, not the stairwell incense.
Kids or pets: set the bed and a closed bin for food before you style a southwest pair. Pets after the floor is safe.
What to skip
Do not promise a 3-to-7-day energy shift or a 27-day manifestation. Do not paste an App Store URL in the body. Do not smudge a hallway you do not own. Do not delay the bed for a bagua printout.
If the truck is tomorrow, the door and the bed are the article.
