A small apartment is one door and two jobs: sleep and sit. See the latch from the bed if you can, keep a walk, cover the desk at night. Rugs do not multiply chi. Tiny rooms do not amplify luck.
When we photograph studios, the bed is the sofa and the door hits a bike. People ask for nine bagua enhancers. The swing is 40 degrees. This page is door, bed, path.
Lease: renters. Furniture: arrange. Piles: decluttering. Night: sleep.
Three rules that are chores
Less stuff. A pile blocks a 4-meter room faster than a house. Every object needs a floor tax. Decluttering.
Name the jobs. Sleep wall, table, door. A rug or a curtain is a mark. It is not a sacred boundary.
Light you can change. A warm lamp for the bed, a brighter one for work. Lighting. Light is not chi. It is seeing.
A bagua on a studio stacks two sectors on one closet. One object if you use a map. Bagua.
Zones without a second room
Bed in command: door in view, not in the line, solid wall if you have one. A curtain or an open shelf behind the foot is privacy. A solid bookcase that kills the window is a cave.
Desk: fold or cover at night if it faces the pillow. Desk.
Table: a round top is easier to walk around. Glass is taste. Legs you can see under are less of a block. A Murphy bed is a fold, not a chi machine.
Kitchen in the same square: close it if you can when you sleep. Kitchen. Laundry stack: door shut at night. Laundry.
TV at the foot of the bed: cover. TV.
Door and mirrors
The door must open. Shoes in a closed bin. A mat. A bulb. Entryway.
A mirror next to a window throws light. A mirror facing the bed keeps the room on. A mirror facing the door can flash you when you enter. Try a week. Mirrors.
"Door opens into a wall" is a short hall. Art or a lamp is enough. You cannot move the wall.
Plants and color
One pot in real light, off the swing. Snake plant and pothos are compact. Bamboo in a vase is a pot. Coin-leaf stories stay on the money-plant page. Wood.
Pale walls bounce light. One darker pillow is an accent. Vertical shelves make the ceiling feel taller. That is eyes. Colors.
A ceiling fan over the only bed: off at night. Ceiling fan.
A bath that opens on the bed: lid, curtain, fog wiped. The vanity glass should not be the last thing you see from the pillow if you can help it. Bathroom mirror.
Under-bed storage is a renter default. Soft bags beat a graveyard of crates you kick at 2 a.m. Command still needs a path around the frame.
Guests on the sofa: a folded set you can hide. The room does not need a second "relationship gua." Guest room if you ever get a door.
What to skip
Do not promise harmony or abundance. Do not paste an App Store URL in the body. Do not hang two mirrors opposite in a galley. Do not buy a five-element kit for a blocked bike.
If you cannot take command, the walk and the cover are the article.
A weekend sequence
- Photograph from the door and the pillow.
- Clear the swing.
- Shift the bed until you see the latch, or test a mirror.
- Cover the desk at night.
- Stop zoning with a third rug.
How to judge a change
You walk in with groceries. You sleep without seeing the sink pile. You did not add a fourth piece.

Sources and limits
Studio notes follow Form School on a single room. Empirical research on Feng Shui as a whole is limited and mixed.
